
The 4th edition of 4-day-long GMMSA Expo 2019 kicked off in Ludhiana today. The show, dedicated to knitting and sewing technology, has good numbers of players displaying value addition machinery be it embroidery, printing, laser cutting etc, at the event.
Apart from many Chinese companies’ circular and flat knitting machines, well known global brands of sewing technology are also presented in the show besides some players offering chemicals, inks and trims etc. There are around 200 booths at the event.
The show was inaugurated by Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana. The first day of the show witnessed good visitation like Ajit Lakra, MD, Superfine Knitters and President, Ludhiana Knitters’ Association; Ashok Makkar, President, Dyeing Association and Vinod Thapar, President, Knitwear and Textile Club etc. Many small and medium level garment manufacturers of the Ludhiana also visited the show.
In discussion with Apparel Resources, some exhibitors and visitors shared that currently business was doing good overall and they were hopeful about coming months too. Offering fully computerized flat knitting machines, Iqbal Singh Chahal, Director, Iqbal Enterprises informed, “We supply our machines to all over India and cater to exporters as well domestic manufacturers. As our machines are useful for summer as well as for winterwear, we are growing well.” The company has come up with high speed flat knitting machine which has more option for designs and gives better finishing in collars.
