German company Emtec will display its newest tactile measurement device designed to transform how manufacturers judge the feel of knitted textiles at next month’s Febratex exhibition in Brazil.
Beginning from 20th-23rd August in Blumenau, Brazil, the company will reveal the TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer, a revolutionary technology that correctly evaluates the haptic properties of textiles and nonwoven fabrics.
The TSA signifies a step forward in objective haptic measurement, imitating human hand sensations to offer accurate data on textile softness, thermo-haptic properties, smoothness, stretch, friction, and drape behavior. This highly developed analysis allows manufacturers to uphold better quality and comfort standards in their products.
The TSA delivers swift results, completing evaluations of major parameters in under two minutes. Relative studies show its measurements line up up to 100 per cent with traditional hand panel tests, ensuring reliability and uniformity. By substituting subjective hand-feel tests, the TSA authorises manufacturers with actionable insights for up to date decision-making.
A noticeable feature of the updated TSA is its assimilation with the cloud-based Virtual Haptic Library, created with Black Swan Textiles. This digital repository categor per centes and digit per centes TSA sample data, permitting real-time access internationally. This capability improves quality assurance, diminishes logistical costs, and supports sustainability initiatives by reducing waste.
Alexander Gruener, Emtec’s global business development manager, highlighted the transformative impact of the TSA and Virtual Haptic Library on quality control processes inside the textile industry, “These technologies redefine how manufacturers review and guarantee haptic quality, endorsing supply chain transparency and sustainability.”
