Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) – Africa´s leading event for the textile, fashion and technology value chain– will take place from 4 to 7 November 2022 in Ethiopia.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt, the 8th edition of ASFW is expected to see over 350 exhibitors and more than 6,000 trade buyers including African buyers of technology and textile/yarns as well as foreign buyers for apparel and fashion.
The show is known for promoting sustainability in manufacturing.
The event promises to offer a good opportunity for major and medium European, Asian and US buyers to meet manufacturers.
The event will also witness Africa´s biggest textile and apparel conference that will be graced by many expert speakers.
Notably, after Asia, the textile and apparel production has started to move to Africa, especially East Africa (Mauritius, Kenya Madagascar and Ethiopia), which is an important region.
In addition to this, the Africa Continental Free Trade (borderless trade within Africa) will give additional potential for manufacturing and trading within Africa.
About 75 per cent of the entire population of Africa consists of youth, which makes Africa an interesting place for investors and traders.
