The UK Minister for International Trade, Nigel Huddleston has expressed the United Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening trade and investment ties with Bangladesh.
His visit to Dhaka on 5th July (Tuesday) demonstrated the UK’s strong ambition to foster an enhanced trade and investment relationship with Bangladesh.
In a statement, the UK High Commission in Dhaka emphasised the UK’s dedication to collaborating closely with Bangladesh to establish a trade and investment partnership that would generate employment and promote economic growth in both countries.
Minister Huddleston underlined the UK’s enduring and robust relationship with Bangladesh, emphasising the significant growth in trade between the two nations over the past year even as he expressed his enthusiasm for working alongside the Bangladesh Government to achieve an elevated trade and investment relationship.
The Minister looks forward to collaborating on initiatives that increase mutual prosperity by addressing barriers to market access and trade even as the UK’s commitment to deepening trade and investment ties with Bangladesh reflects their shared goal of fostering economic cooperation and promoting mutual growth.
It may be mentioned here United Kingdom is considered a traditional export stronghold for ‘Made in Bangladesh’ apparel, with which Bangladesh shares a very close trade relationship.
