
With an investment of US $ 80 million, two companies with Korean investment – Panko Tam Thang and Duck San Vina are the first companies to set a garment project in the Tam Thang Industrial Zone located in Tam Ky City of Vietnam. The Tam Thang Industrial Zone has registered a total fund of US $ 150 million till now from five foreign investors with the Hirdaramani Group from Sri Lanka to open a US $ 50 million garment and textile project by September. 91 textile and garment companies operating in the province produced US $ 138 million of products last year, 6.6 per cent of the total industrial production value.
