
The export-import activities with India through the Benapole Land Port, which took a hit following around 24-hour suspension, after alleged clash between two groups of labourers recently, have resumed now.
Media reports claimed this adding the police have so far taken eight people into custody for the alleged clash even as a case was filed against 36 people in connection with same.
Officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan said this to the media while adding two unexploded bombs, a private vehicle, five rounds of bullets and one imported arm were recovered from the port even as additional policemen have, reportedly, been deployed at the land port area to keep the situation under control.
The clash between the two groups of labourers allegedly took place pertaining to taking control of the contracting job at the port.
