
Union Minister Darshana Vikram Jardosh has stated that a number of textile businesses will be opening in Jammu and Kashmir, paving the way for the development of the Union Territory into a desirable industrial hub.
The minister of state for railways and textiles was speaking at the government degree college for women in the Kathua district as part of her public outreach plan.
An official spokesman stated that the purpose of the event was to give the general public a forum to present their issues and concerns to the Union Minister for redress.
“The textile ministry is taking new initiatives to promote production and value addition of textile products. Several textile units are coming up in J&K, which will pave the way for making it an alluring industrial hub of the country,” she said.
The Union Minister also discussed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘5-F’ vision, which stands for ‘Farm to Fibre, Factory, Fashion, and Foreign,’ and said that this will aid in the expansion of the textile industry.
The Minister also assured the people that the Government has taken the steps to ensure that the region becomes an industrial hub and that there is proper connectivity with the rest of India and that welfare of the region is given importance.
