
Tex Zippers (BD) Limited, the sister concern of Tex Corp. Ltd., India recently organized a gripping evening for their valued customers in the region. Appreciating the support the company has received in Bangladesh, Kapil Kumra, Country Manager, Tex Zippers (BD) said, “The motive behind the event was to thank our customers for their continuous support and faith in our organization and to promote a feeling of oneness between both our country’s cultures, hence we had performers from both India and Bangladesh performing at the event together.”
Besides Team Apparel Online, Sharif Zahir, MD, Ananta Group; Shafraz Meezan, CEO – T&S Buttons with their spouses; Chad, Chairman, AMCS Textile Ltd.; Anjan Bhattacharya, CFO, Epic Garments Manufacturing Company Ltd.; Farhad, Chairman, Farr Ceramics; Abu Sadat, Director, Shin Shin Group; and Opu, Director, AKM, were a few prominent invitees present at the event to be a part Tex Zippers accomplishments and celebrations.

As the evening progressed towards a musical night, performers from Bangladesh and India won over the guest’s hearts with their musical numbers. Also present at the event was 2010 Indian Idol’s second runner up Amit Paul, who spell bound around 200 guests with his latest Bollywood numbers and some evergreen Kishore Kumar numbers on popular demand. The building enthusiasm became evident, when the youngsters in the crowd could not stop themselves from running towards the stage and dancing on Amit’s numbers. Equally upbeat was the performance of a leading Bangladesh troop which entertained the crowd to the hilt.
Anil Tandon, MD, Tex Zippers was extremely pleased with the response to their event themed on the company’s India-Bangladesh relations, a blissful Anil shared, “We had to celebrate with the entire family of Tex Zippers. Their well wishes and partnership is what has brought us this success in the past one year. We have made very strong bonds in the past year and we see to strengthen them further and make new ones in the coming years.”
Tex Zippers (BD) Limited, which started sales operations in Bangladesh in 2007 and began importing zippers from its Indian manufacturing facilities, is today an established player in the buyer nominated market and growing at more than 200 per cent year-on-year in Bangladesh. Established in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone, Tex is manufacturing zippers specifically for bottoms, which is one of the major export categories from the country. The company which started commercial production of metal zippers in Bangladesh has gone from increasing its production capacity six-fold during the past 18 months.
Though being a 100 per cent FDI in Bangladesh, Tex Zippers (BD) has earned a reputation of being a good employer with more than 160 people happily employed in the enterprise.
“Bangladesh is a very important market with immense growth potential and we want to be partners in their growth,” shared Anil with AO in an interaction during the dinner.
