
Nathalie Chuard, Switzerland’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, has maintained Swiss entrepreneurs are interested to invest in Bangladesh’s leather sector even as she handed over a letter to the Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun from a Zurich-based tannery, which wants to take a tour of the Savar’s tannery estate.
Media reports maintained this while adding Nathalie Chuard informed the Bangladesh Industries Minister about the interest of the Swill businesses in this regard when she called upon Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at his office in Dhaka recently, who in turn also called upon the Swiss envoy to increase imports of textile and garment products from Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Nathalie Chuard and Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, reportedly, agreed to work together on issues such as patents, trademarks of products and services, designs, protection of intellectual property and geographical indication products.
At the meeting was, reportedly, also present Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana.
