Stakeholders in Bangladesh have called for introducing a National Logistics Policy to ensure an efficient port logistic system in the country.
According to reports, they underlined this while participating in a recent seminar titled ‘Efficient Port Logistic Management and Trade Competitiveness of Bangladesh’, organised by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), in which was also present Shipping Ministry Secretary Md Mostafa Kamal as the chief guest.
The event was chaired by DCCI President Rizwan Rahman.
Speaking at the seminar, Md Mostafa Kamal, reportedly, maintained Bangladesh Government has invested a lot to make the ports more functional even as he urged the professionals in this sector to deliver better output while also forming a regulatory authority for inland container depots.
