With four factories and almost 1,900 machineries, Jaipur’s Savi Exports plans to double its capacity by adding 2,000 machineries in the coming one-and-a-half years and is also looking to penetrate new markets while expecting a 50 per cent growth in the next three years. The new factory will be built on an area of 9,000 sq. metres, incorporating all departments on the same floor.
Girish Kumar Pareek, MD of the company in an exclusive interaction with Apparel Online informed, “Land for the factory will be allotted soon in the Apparel Park and we are looking at starting the construction as early as possible with an investment of Rs. 10 crore. It will almost take one-and-a-half years to start production in this new factory and the idea is to have everything on a single floor to keep a check on costs and enhance productivity, as lesser supervisors will be required.
Girish is expecting help from ATDC Jaipur for getting the trained labour and will offer a better pay scale to factory workers. “We believe in better working conditions for the factory workers; also we plan to provide in-house training.”
Exporting to the US, UK, Japan etc., the company is exploring new markets especially growing economies such as Mexico, Brazil and South America. “Recently we participated in fairs of Australia and Israel and found that there was a good demand for Indian apparels. Though the overall market is a bit slow right now but in the next two years it will be bullish and we are preparing for the same,” told Girish.
