Reports claim Bangladesh likely to hike gas price again

Bangladesh Government is all set to hike gas price once again defying the ongoing crisis.

Media reports claimed this adding a gazette notification is likely to be issued in this direction shortly even as sources from within the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, reportedly claimed gas price will be hiked with the assurance of increased supply to the factories.

The reports further maintained Bangladesh Government had earlier hiked gas price in two phases with the assurance of increased supply even as the fresh initiative to hike the gas price comes at a time when the industries are suffering from gas-crisis, they underlined while adding households are keeping stoves off in some areas due to the gas crisis.
