Ijaz A. Khokhar, Central Chairman of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) has urged the Government of Pakistan to formulate sector-wise trade policies to increase the country’s exports. “Timely support from the Government will help enhance export volume and enable the manufacturers/exporters to follow modern fashion trends. We are lagging behind due non-availability of skilled workforce and non- availability of raw material due to which we are unable to fulfill the demands of foreign customers”, he said.
Pakistan has been facing a stiff completion from its neighbouring countries like India, China, Bangladesh, all doing good on the international front, and this sector of the country has been waiting for a policy that will turn things around for them by boosting its exports.
