The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) is trying to speed up the process regarding Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme and wants to make sure that companies selected for the same should not have any challenge to execute things atthe ground level.
The MoT held the first weekly Open House Forum through VC to interact with the participating companies under the ‘PLI Scheme for Textiles’ to understand and resolve any implementation issues being faced by the textile companies.
It has been more than a year that 61 Government approved companies have got approval under the PLI scheme for textiles and the industry asking consistently for PLI 2.0

Recently there were reports that India will review the PLI scheme to improve utilisation in sectors that are lagging behind including textiles.
The weekly Open House Forum will be held every Friday from 4-5 PM. The web link for the interaction will be shared with all PLI Participant Companies every Thursday evening.
This initiative would help Participants to accelerate the targeted investment, start the production and achieve turnover for incentivisation in time.
