Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt, France reportedly confirmed that the trade show organizers have signed a strategic agreement with AMITH while adding, “It goes without saying that we will expand our search for new sources of procurement, where each new supplier would bring into play their stock of techniques, expertise and original skill as that conforms to buyers’ economic priorities.”
It may be noted here that Moroccan textile industry was the eighth largest supplier of clothing and textile to the European Union in 2015. In the first half of 2016, exports to Europe from the country grew at 8 per cent in spite of the economic clampdown to an otherwise well-off economic climate.
These results were achieved by setting clear strategic objectives with the support from Government bodies to improve the competitiveness of businesses, motivate integration of clothing and textiles, attract foreign direct investment into the country, upgrade the range of products on offer, boost the production in domestic market and expand foreign markets.
