CoolVisions, a manufacturer of dyeable polypropylene staple fibre, has developed functional fabrics featuring CoolVisions dyeable polypropylene filament with additional benefits provided by Creora Eco-soft spandex produced by a synthetic fibre manufacturer – Hyosung, for active wear, competitive swimwear, and intimate apparel.
The introduction of low-heat settable eco-soft spandex brings in dimensional stability to stretch fabrics with improved moulding performance and less curling.
Ria Stern, Global Marketing Director at Creora Spandex stated, “We recommend the addition of Creora eco-soft spandex to provide an additional level of comfort and fit, and have worked closely with FiberVisions to optimize the fabric development process combining their new CoolVisions dyeable polypropylene filament and Creora eco-soft.”

In addition to providing good-feel to consumers, pairing CoolVisions dyeable polypropylene fibres with Creora also promotes sustainable fibre production. “CoolVisions dyeable polypropylene fibre is among the lightest of all commercial fibres, with low moisture absorption and excellent moisture transport; making it ideal for fabrics worn next to the body. Besides, polyolefin fibres such CoolVisions polypropylene have the lowest carbon footprint of all synthetic fibres. By pairing CoolVisions dyeable polypropylene fibres with Creora, textile manufacturers can potentially reduce their CO2 emissions,” said Susan Lynn, US Marketing Manager – FiberVisions.
