Helena Helmersson, the CEO of H&M Group, called on Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh recently.
This is as per reports, which claimed Helena called on Sheikh Hasina in the presence of State Minister for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, to discuss the development of the garment industry and the competitive position of Bangladesh.
A press communiqué issued in this direction, maintained the meeting between the Bangladesh Prime Minister and the CEO of H&M Group brought an important opportunity to further exchange views on the development of the readymade garment industry of Bangladesh while also deliberating on the opportunities and challenges going forward.
It may be mentioned here that Bangladesh has today become amongst the fashion retailer’s largest production countries, from which H&M sourced way back in 1982 even as its 500 people-strong team in the group’s production office in Dhaka, maintains a continuous dialogue with the partners and suppliers here in Bangladesh.
