According to General Administration of Customs, China (GACC), the country has witnessed 47.70 per cent surge in its garment and accessory exports in Q1 ’21 and clocked US $ 33.29 billion revenues.
It’s worth recalling here that, in Q1 ’20 – due to COVID-19 outbreak in the country – the apparel and accessory export slowed down to clock just US $ 22.53 billion.
Particularly in March ’21, the exports valued US $ 9.25 billion, marking 48 per cent growth as compared to March ’20.
As far as China’s textile export is concerned, it valued US $ 31.80 billion in Jan.-Mar. ’21 period and grew 40.30 per cent as against the same period of 2020.
Of total textile exports, fabrics contributed US $ 13.41 billion; yarns valued US $ 3.18 billion and other textile products clocked US $ 15.21 billion.
GACC data also shows that textile export of China in March ’21 hit US $ 9.67 billion, as against US $ 8.92 billion in the corresponding month of 2020, marking 8.40 growth on yearly note.
