As many as 300 workers at Dhir Global Industries Pvt. Ltd., Gurugam, India felt a sigh a relief upon the announcement of getting their salary dues in two instalments. Two months’ salary will be paid on 24th February. The salary of the remaining one month will be paid with the salary of March in the month of April.
The workers have not been getting their wages since the Centre announced demonetization. They were handed over the pay cheques for the month of November and December, but more than 100 cheques bounced, owing to insufficient funds in the account. The workers approached the Labour Department seeking action against the company. The Department acted as a mediator between the management and the workers to resolve the issue.

But workers will get their pay cheques by February 24,” said MK Dhir, Managing Director, Dhir Global Industries.
