Fruit of the Loom, an American underwear manufacturer announced a strategic partnership with Parkdale America, one of the largest spun yarn manufacturers in the US. As a part of the agreement, the company will sell its US yarn spinning operations to Parkdale, which will then convert those plants to the latest technology in ring and open-end spinning capabilities. The yarns will then be utilized in Fruit of the Loom’s vast assortment of underwear and casualwear products. The company has been purchasing yarns from Parkdale for many years and will now be investing in technology that will yield the highest quality yarn at the lowest cost.
