
Experts in Bangladesh have called for up-skilling the existing labour force in the country so as to successfully face the challenges of LDC graduation challenge as well as the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
Reports maintained this adding the experts underlined this while attending a discussion titled ‘On the Economy of Tomorrow’, organised by the non-profit German foundation Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Dhaka recently.
Taking part in the discussion, Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka Sayema Haque Bidisha reportedly maintained private sector has a major role in re-skilling and upskilling the existing workers who are now middle-aged even as she held to provide skills to the existing labour force was one of the key challenges for Bangladesh keeping in perspective the upcoming LDC graduation.
The Professor of Dhaka University further reportedly maintained the Government should make available incentives and policy support to the private sector so as to motivate them to initiate steps in adopting labour-friendly programmes.
