Renowned industrialist and founder of Partex Group, MA Hashem, passed away at the age of 77, early Thursday (24 December), claimed media reports.
He was, reportedly, undergoing treatment at Dhaka’s Evercare Hospital since 16 December after testing positive for coronavirus and had been in critical condition owing to old age complications and COVID-19 infection.
The head of medical service of Evercare Hospital Ltd., Dr. Arif Mahmud, reportedly, confirmed the passing away of MA Hashem, a former lawmaker, which was also, reportedly, confirmed by his son Aziz Al Kaiser as well and later a press note issued by another son, Rubel Aziz, maintained, “Hashem envisioned the future of Partex and led the corporate world to it, in a legacy that spanned over 6 decades.”
The entrepreneur has left behind five sons namely Aziz Al Kaiser Tito, Aziz Al Mahmud, Aziz Al Masud, Rubel Aziz and Showkat Aziz Russell, and his wife Sultana Hashem.
