
The Industries Minister, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, acknowledged the efforts of the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) and stressed the significance of enhancing trade and economic relations between Malaysia and Bangladesh.
According to reports, the Minister additionally sought the head of the BMCCI to aggressively seek out investments from Malaysian investors in the Bangladeshi Special Economic Zone.
The minister spoke while Shabbir A. Khan, President of the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI), paid a courtesy call to assess the organization’s different FDI-related promotional efforts and look into potential investment opportunities from Malaysia.
Along with expressing his appreciation for BMCCI’s actions, he said that the ministry will offer the assistance required to empower Bangladeshi SMEs through a range of programmes that would help them sell their products.
Also, Shabbir A. Khan told the minister that during the BMCCI delegation’s recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, they had productive discussions with the SME Corporation of Malaysia about potential opportunities for knowledge, expertise, and capacity-building initiatives among Bangladesh’s SME sectors.
