upay, one of Bangladesh’s fastest growing mobile financial service providers, and the apex garment makers body of the Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) recently inked a deal to disburse stipend for the BGMEA-SEIP project.
An initiative for skill development of mid-level officials and workers in the apparel sector, the BGMEA-SEIP project is jointly funded by the Bangladesh Government and Asian Development Bank (ADB), and implemented by the BGMEA.
According to a press communiqué, upay Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Hossain and BGMEA President Faruque Hassan signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations even as under this agreement, the participants of the BGMEA-SEIP skill development project will receive their stipend directly into their respective upay accounts.
