The apex garment makers’ body in Bangladesh, the BGMEA, had on 5 July announced apparel export target of US $ 100 billion by 2030 even as the trade body unveiled new logo and strategic vision on the occasion.
As per reports, BGMEA announced the target while unveiling its Sustainability Strategic Vision: 2030 in Dhaka recently even if the trade body has also underlined employment in the apparel sector of the country will reach 6 million with 100 per cent gender equality by 2030.
Parliament (Jatiya Sangsad) Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury attended the event as chief guest.
