The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Center for Industrial Production (CIP) of Aalborg University and the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), to begin a research project titled ‘Health, safety and productivity in the ready-made garment industry in Bangladesh’. Funds for the project will be provided by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), a wing of Foreign Affairs of Denmark used to provide humanitarian aid and development assistance.
