
Even as demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) rose significantly lately on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, Faruque Hassan, the President of Bangladesh’s apex garment makers’ body BGMEA, has stressed on capacity building and policy support to tap the opportunities that exist in terms of PPE, surgery gowns and masks.
Media reports maintained this adding the BGMEA President said the same while addressing a webinar titled ‘Exploring Growth Opportunities: Production and Export of Medical and Personal Protective Equipment (MPPE)’ recently.
Considering the global demand and the rise in demand for PPEs in the post-pandemic scenario, Bangladesh has a clear potential to tap into it, reportedly, stated the BGMEA President at the said event.
