
The leaders of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, which is the apex body of garment makers in Bangladesh, have sought Government’s support in addressing the challenges facing the industry even as they met the Senior Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, M. Tofazzel Hossain Miah, to discuss relevant issues.
Media reports maintained this adding the BGMEA delegation led by its President Faruque Hassan apprised M. Tofazzel Hossain Miah about the present business situation and challenges being faced by the garment manufacturers while also suggesting the possible course of actions to deal with the same.
The BGMEA delegation, which included BGMEA Vice-Presidents Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Shahidullah Azim and Md. Nasir Uddin amongst others requested the Government to initiate steps to further improve ease of doing business while also reduce the time, process and cost in all facets of doing business.
