The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina emphasised on Sunday the importance of growing the markets for the nation’s export goods.
“To boost exports, the markets for our products should be expanded along with their diversification,” Hasina averred.
The Prime Minister said this during a visit to her office of a delegation from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
She encouraged businesspeople to give careful consideration to the product’s quality.
The BGMEA team addressed the Prime Minister on business, trade, exports, and current market conditions, according to KM Shakhawat Moon, Deputy Press Secretary for the PM.
When the delegation members mentioned several challenges stemming from different factors, such as the current global situation, the Prime Minister listened to them calmly and gave assurances that these problems would be remedied.
The delegation included BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, former BGMEA President Tipu Munsi, who is also a former Commerce Minister, Abdus Salam Murshedy, Md Shafiul Islam, and Md Siddiqur Rahman.
