
The Education Minister, Dipu Moni, emphasised that increased research activities within universities are essential for enhancing the quality of higher education. She noted that the achievements in research are often linked to financial investments from industries worldwide.
She made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the inauguration of the accreditation lab for Textile Testing and Consultation Services and the reception of Certified Industrial Professionals (CIPs) from the alumni of Bangladesh University of Textiles, located in Tejgaon, in the capital city of Dhaka.
The event, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Shah Alimuzzaman, was graced by the presence of Member of Parliament Md Mozaffar Hossain as a guest.
Among the distinguished attendees were Mohammad Ali Khokon, President of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA); Mohammad Hatem, Executive President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA); Md Shafiqur Rahman, President of the Institute of Textile Engineering and Technology (ITET); Mohammad Asad Hossain, President of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) in the textile division, and several others.
