The President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, in presence of ministers and senior officials recently inaugurated an assistance programme for textile merchants. The programme, which first has been extended to 100 merchants, has come on the initiative of Pétion-Ville municipal administration, with the help of Unibank, which has opened bank accounts of these merchants. President Martelly said, “The most important program for me is to allow each Haitian to benefit from better living conditions and request each merchant to deliver better results.”
