Md. Atiqul Islam, President and Shahidullah Azim, Vice President of BGMEA went to Nepal recently by a special BAF flight to express profound sympathy for the victims. They on the behalf of association members handed over the clothes to Nepal authority to distribute those among the earthquake victims. BGMEA extended its gracious cooperation to Nepal earthquake survivors by handing over 200 cartons with over 10,000 clothing products, including shirts, pants, sweaters, T-shirts, ladies pants and children’s dresses to the Nepal authorities.
“We have urged our members and other organizations to provide support as per their capacity to help earthquake survivors in Nepal. We will continue our efforts to help the survivors, and the first phase of consignment has been placed before the authorities,” said Azim, according to whom the survivors need warm clothes, blankets, tents, plastic mats, drinking water, dry foods and medicine.
