Small and medium level companies are aggressively exploring market expansions to grow in garment exports. Delhi based AP Handicrafts, a medium level exporter, has added five new buyers from South America in last six months and opened a local office in Chile in collaboration with Claudia & Accessories.
The company has been exploring this market for the last two years and now it has established a good client base, as all of these buyers are wholesalers and placing good amount of orders in various styles. Vijay Sanon, Owner of the firm who started from scratch, is hopeful to double his business in coming years. “Our recent sampling was a hit and we participated in some exhibitions, besides that recommendation by our steady buyers also helped us to get new buyers.
With an average FOB of US $ 5 we are supplying tops, tunics and long dresses, in fact I feel South America has good growing demand and order size is also reasonable,” shares Vijay. Established in 1995, the company is also exporting into Europe and the US.
