At the fifth edition of ‘Garment Fair’ in Vijayawada, Apparel Manufacturers and Marketers Association (AMMA) President G V S Harischandra demanded that the Government should provide land for setting up an apparel park in the capital region. Vijayawada is the epicentre of clothing business in AP but most of it is confined to trading. If an apparel park is set up, textile manufacture will be possible and this will not only spur the growth of apparel industry in the city but will also create jobs.
