Coordinated by Indian Texpreneurs Federation (ITF), 71 textile units will now put in place a comprehensive Energy Management System (EMS) to keep a check on energy consumption of each and every machine round-the-clock for continuous assessment of machine’s functionality. This would help the units to identify flaws in machines that cause energy losses and take corrective measures accordingly.
Karthik Durai, ITF Executive Member and Coordinator of EMS Implementation averred that usual energy audits make the EMS unique, as the audits are done in a space of a day or two, to analyse the total energy consumed vis-a-vis the possible requirement.
