TextileGenesis, a Lectra Group subsidiary, and AEON, a company that specialises in product digitisation, have collaborated to launch Digital Product Passports (DPPs), which allow marketers to link their products’ complete lifecycle and comply with impending requirements.
The partnership between AEON and TextileGenesis on DPPs aims to assist businesses in streamlining supply chains, improving transparency, adhering to legal requirements, and growing circular business models.
Companies can use TextileGenesis material traceability data to create a digital twin in the AEON platform, giving each physical product a distinct digital identity.
Their items may now be tracked, engaged with, and used for a variety of commercial objectives, including consumer interaction, authentication, and resale, thanks to this digital twin. This relationship allows downstream partners to expand circular services, access to product information, and end-to-end traceability of each item.
TextileGenesis and AEON assert that they can break down data silos and enable traceability from raw materials to final goods by linking their platforms.
According to Amit Gautam, founder and CEO of TextileGenesis, this integration will guarantee that brands are able to link DPPs with every product and offer “certified supply chain data upstream” and “information collected downstream.”
Natasha Franck, founder and CEO of EON said the collaboration was a huge leap in product and material traceability, “Our collaboration enables brands to for the first time connect the full end-to-end life cycle of each unique item.”
