
The Tamil Nadu Textiles Department has initiated a no-cost training initiative intended at providing unemployed youth with industry-specific skills in spinning and technical textiles. This program is customised to improve job prospects for rural populations surrounded by the state’s key textile sector.
As per an authorised announcement, the training will provide a wide-ranging curriculum and hands-on experience, allowing participants to achieve valuable insights into textile manufacturing and production procedures. Graduates of the program will be well-equipped to chase rewarding careers in the booming textile industry.
Tamil Nadu’s textile sector holds major importance in India’s general textile output, serving as a main source of employment for rural communities. This training proposal underscores the state Government’s commitment to nurturing skill development and employment opportunities in this crucial economic sector.
The training sessions will be carried out by the South India Training and Research Society (SITRA), an esteemed organization well-known for its contributions to textile education and research.
