After helping several migratory workers reach their hometowns safely from metro cities, film actor Sonu Sood has now taken another initiative and started a job portal www.pravasirojgar.com that provides employment to migratory workers.
The portal connects the job seeker with the employer and adequately fulfils the requirement of both.
And it has a direct connection with the textile and apparel industry too.
Silver Spark Apparel, Bengaluru (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond Ltd.), Welspun India, Mumbai and Trident Group, Ludhiana, giants in home furnishing, are among the few textile and apparel companies, who as an employer are supporting this initiative.
In a tweet, Sonu Sood thanked Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and few other organisations from different industries and ensured of providing 3 lakh jobs.
As per AEPC officials, soon a partnership will be entered with Sonu Sood on labour employment in apparel factories.
Though in discussion, CITI officials declined of any tie-up with Sonu.
