In order to increase transparency within its own supply chains and the digital traceability of products, the S.Oliver Group and the German IT startup Retraced have formed a strategic relationship. The cooperation will allow the fashion brand to use the platform as a central data management tool.
In accordance with the agreement, the German tech company Retraced will work closely with the Rotterdam-based fashion company S. Oliver Group to further develop the platform, putting a special emphasis on important human rights issues like digital risk management and implementing risk prevention measures in the supply chain. This collaborative initiative aims to encourage responsibility and ethical behaviour within the fashion sector.
“International supply chains are complex and dynamic. It is therefore important that all stakeholders within the textile industry and beyond work together to create the necessary transparency,” said Oliver Hein, chief operating officer of the S. Oliver Group.
The collaboration intends to broaden the digital network to include the more complex supply chain layers, providing complete product tracking through Retraced.
Philipp Mayer, Co-Founder of Retraced, highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing the fashion industry’s challenges and adds: “The S.Oliver Group has many years of experience in the areas of social compliance and risk management, which supports us in particular in the further development of all LkSG-relevant functions.”
