RMP Group has recently opted for a 433-kW rooftop solar installation at its Faridabad facility.
A Delhi-based textile mill, RMP Group, that produces approximately 45 million meters of fabric annually, expects to cut power costs by 83% with this installation.
The project was installed by Asun Solara, a New Delhi-based solar EPC company which will provide maintenance for the project for 15 years.
The rooftop solar project will generate around 1,150-1,200 units per MW per month, and the total savings for the year are expected to be around Rs. 6.63 million (US $69,506). The modules used for the project are 6.25 Wp N-Type TOPCon solar modules.
According to the Mercom India Research’s Q1 2026 India Rooftop Solar Market Report,
India added 2.7 GW of rooftop solar capacity in the first quarter of 2026, a year-over-year growth of 125.4% from the 1.2 GW added during the same period last year.
