The Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC) was honoured for the commendable work during COVID-19 lockdown and the efforts being made to promote the concept of cleanliness (Swachhta) in the Noida city.
Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, Noida Authority honoured Lalit Thukral, President, NAEC and presented a certificate of appreciation.
The NAEC is a premier representative body of manufacturers and exporters of apparel products across Noida and UP.
Lalit Thukral said, “It gives me immense pleasure. All credit goes to our fellow exporters of Noida who are doing their best to support the society and that too in this most challenging time of COVID-19.”
It is pertinent to mention here that during lockdown, NAEC arranged food for migratory workers and needy persons. It also continues various initiatives to support the cleanliness campaign through various ways.
The cluster is also associated with film actor Sonu Sood to help the workers regarding jobs.
NAEC is also active at keeping factories motivated to ensure cleanliness in the nearby areas and focus on gardening so as to make Noida green and beautiful.
Last year, when COVID-19 was at its peak, NAEC also distributed free masks in large number and encouraged the production of PPE kits in Noida. It also ensured factories’ smooth opening following better coordination with administration.
