Tailored Brands’ commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship and its sustainable supply chain management strategies have been honoured in the form of 2018 Circle of Excellence Award by Distribution Business Management (DBM) Association, which provides think tank forums between business and academia that seek solutions to the pressing issues facing today’s and tomorrow’s supply chain and logistics executives.
Leading companies in various industries, who represent the highest standards of quality and provide a model for all businesses, are chosen for the Circle of Excellence Award.
It is pertinent to mention here that in 2017, Tailored Brands collected over 385,000 articles of used men’s and women’s professional dresses that will help Americans and Canadians in need of suitable interview outfit as they seek to regain employment as part of its annual Suit Drive. Overall, the programme has made over 1.6 million apparel donations since its launch in the year 2008.
Also, in the past two years Tailored Brands have diverted over 500,000 pounds of waste and more than 52,000 gallons of compostable materials from landfills with its recycling and composting programmes.
The fashion company also recognises that working parents with young children face many hurdles as they try to balance work and family life. To make this struggle a little easier, the firm provides subsidised onsite day care for employees who work in the corporate offices in California and Texas, in a bid to support its workforce.
“Our belief to do the right thing for our employees motivates us to partner with suppliers who follow the code of conduct, giving back to the communities we serve and improving our environmental impact,” stated Chief Executive Officer Doug Ewert, Tailored Brands that operated labels such as Men’s Wearhouse, Moore, K&G and Jos. A. Bank.
Markedly, Tailored Brands serves its customers through an expansive omni-channel network that includes over 1,400 locations in the US and Canada as well as its branded e-commerce websites.
