The retailer aims to ensure that all viscose, lyocell, modal and other cellulosic fibres solely come from Canopy-approved suppliers only by 2017. Arcadia, Lindex, C&A China, H&M, Inditex, Stella McCartney, Eileen Fisher and Marks & Spencer are some of the other retailers who have joined Canopy in their efforts to stay sustainable. According to Canopy’s estimates about 1/3 of all the cellulose fibres in the world today comes from endangered forests that are important for climate and biodiversity.
Canopy cooperates with over 750 companies to develop innovative solutions, making supply chains more sustainable and help to protect the world’s remaining ancient and endangered forests.
