Jaipur Rugs, the largest manufacturer of handmade Rugs has been conferred the STANDARD 100 certification by OEKO-TEX®.
OEKO-TEX, a pioneer in product stewardship and consumer protection since 1992, provides tools for the management and communication of safety and sustainability efforts.
Certification by OKEO TEX is a milestone which signifies that Jaipur Rugs has adopted sustainable procurement of raw material, environment-friendly production technologies, efficient use of resources and materials and responsible chemical management and effective consumer protection and product stewardship.

ISO 14001-2004 Environmental Management System, ISO 9001:2008 Quality Production Standards, Child Labor Free, Government Recognized Star Export House are some other certifications that have been awarded to Jaipur Rugs for maintaining global standards.
It can be mentioned here that by placing the human aspect at its core, the company has grown to become the largest network of artisans in India. It uses the age-old art form of handmade carpets as a tool to bring prosperity into the homes of 40,000 rural artisans of which 85 per cent are women. Founded in 1978 by Nand Kishore Chaudhary with just two looms, it now has over 7000 looms and sells in over 80 countries.
