Saaki, the leading homegrown fashion brand, joins hands with Relove (a fashion recycling technology platform) to launch the Relove Saaki initiative in the efforts to establish their commitment towards ‘Responsible Fashion’.
Through this initiative, the brand led by Sushruthi Krishna and Samantha Ruth Prabhu takes a step towards Responsible Fashion.
Relove will help consumers make thoughtful fashion decisions to buy and sell their pre-loved Saaki garments thereby extending the life cycle of a product.
It is to be noted that each garment resold can save six times its weight in CO2 as per statistics, thus, limiting the environmental impact of fashion.
Talking about Responsible Fashion, Sushruthi Krishna, Founder of Saaki, said that initiatives like these are an ideal example of how brands can continue to grow while having a limited impact on the environment through rethinking business practices and shifting focus on innovation.
The popular south actor and Co-founder of Saaki, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, said “I have inculcated many sustainable practices in my life and we wanted to translate that in a meaningful way to our customers at Saaki.”
Saaki is a D2C ethnic fashion brand from the house of Merch Brands. It was launched in 2020 and is co-created with South Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and former Miss India winner Sushruthi Krishna.
