A major fire broke out in a garment factory in Faridabad, which resulted in a heavy loss of goods. Luckily there wasn’t any casualty.
The incident took place in the afternoon around 12.30 PM at DLF Industrial Area, the unit of Panorama Exports. Around 100 workers were working in the factory at that time.
The fire was so severe that few pillars of the building tilted due to heat. A total of 14 fire tenders were used to douse the fire and the efforts continued till evening.
The fire, it is believed, took place due to short circuit. The welding work was in progress on the second floor of the factory at the time of the incident.
As per the company officials, the factory will soon resume the operations.
It is pertinent to mention here that Panorama Exports is one of the leading export houses of Faridabad and exports garments to many countries.
