The European Union (EU) delegation, which is visiting Bangladesh currently, has sought full implementation of the national action plan on the labour sector and time to qualify for the Generalised Scheme of Preferences Plus in the EU after LDC graduation.
This was underlined in media reports which further added the EU delegation chief Heidi Hautala, at a press conference, also reportedly maintained that one year ago Bangladesh committed to implementing a ‘Labour Roadmap’ while adding the same will be linked not only to EBA, but also to the country’s graduation process.
Heidi further, reportedly, added the same will also have bearing on Bangladesh’s potential access to the GSP Plus facility.
