Various textile and apparel manufacturing hubs, across the country, continue to witness sad fire mishaps in their production units.
It was only a few days back fire had hit the apparel and textile units in Noida and Ludhiana. And now in Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), fire has wreaked havoc at Winsome Textile Industries, a leading textile company.
What’s scarier is that this time it has taken the life of a young worker, while two others are injured.
It is said that there is an estimated loss of Rs. 1 crore due to this fire outbreak.

Senior Government officials also visited the unit after the incident. As per a senior police official, a case has been filed against the management under Sections 304-A and 336 of the IPC for causing death due to negligence.
As per sources, the fire started with spark from a machine, which rapidly spread everywhere.
The local official of the fire department was quoted by media saying that Prem Marandi (20) of Jharkhand died due to asphyxiation, after he was buried in piles of cotton. Two others, Baanmali and Kalicharan, were rescued.
The deceased and both injured brothers had joined the unit just a few days back.
