Fibre52 has achieved a significant milestone for its cotton Prepare for Dye (PFD) and dye biochemistries which is now officially certified by ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) and have secured a spot on the ZDHC list of approved chemistries.
To attain this certification, Fibre52’s chemistries underwent thorough testing against the stringent ToxFMD Screened Chemistry standards mandated by ZDHC.
These tests covered both the products and residuals, confirming that Fibre52’s biochemistries are not only non-toxic but also environmentally safe, fully aligning with ZDHC guidelines.
This achievement opens up sustainable possibilities for mills and brands worldwide, offering an eco-friendly alternative to conventional PFD and dye processes notorious for their use of harsh chemicals, high heat, and excessive water consumption.
Fibre52’s approach results in a superior cotton product while conserving up to 70 percent less water and up to 40 percent less energy.
