After successful completion of the GAP Inc. P.A.C.E (Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement) programme, 140 female workers of the Brandix Group graduated at a ceremony held at the Brandix Centre of Inspiration, Ekala. The Group employs more than 47,000 people at 42 manufacturing plants in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. The P.A.C.E. programme which was being conducted at Brandix Casualwear, Ratmalana from October 2012 to February this year, saw graduates being awarded for ‘Best Overall Performance’ and ‘Best Results from P.A.C.E. End Line Survey. ‘The life and work skills education programme designed to positively impact female garment workers in factories that make Gap Inc. products, provides workers with foundation skills, technical training and support to help them advance in the workplace and in their personal lives.
